A place among the most valuable family businesses is a very important distinction for us - says Paweł Klimas, Member of the Board at Klimas Wkręt-met. - It confirms that the strength of Klimas Wkręt-met are people, largely associated with the company from the beginning of its existence. However, the next generation, which I am myself, is developing and expanding the company's success in new markets. Thanks to this, the value of the Klimas Wkręt-met brand has been successively increasing for almost 30 years.
One of The "Most Valuable Polish Family Businesses" ranking’s aims is to increase awareness and to emphasise the importance of family businesses in the Polish economy. It is a list of reliable and transparent enterprises, which have an unblemished reputation.
According to the report "A family business is a brand" developed by the Family Business Institute, over 90% of enterprises in Poland are family businesses (over 50% of shares). However, only 36% of them declare this nature of the enterprise. This situation results from a lack of awareness about the family nature of companies. In fact, the family factor that the family business identifies with is not only image potential. Family businesses are a major economic force, both because of their number and because they have greater survivability than others in times of crisis. Their owners have a sense of responsibility towards the generations that created the company, as well as to their successors. Companies managed by the owner family are perceived as more reliable, authentic and determined to provide goods and services of the best quality. They are focused on multi-generational activities.
